Message from the Chairperson

Saifullah Foundation for Sustainable Development is committed to narrowing the gap between reality and our ideal. We have set up this Foundation to support practical projects which involve community in improving their day-to-day lives. Our ultimate goal is to enable community members to make informed choices from a range of appropriate options for sustainable and equitable development. With the help of community participation and with the support of dedicated Philanthropist I am confident that Almighty Allah will help SFSD in achieving its laudable objectives.

Introduction

Saifullah Foundation for Sustainable Development was established in June 2002, as an independent non-political, non-profit and non-governmental organization, registered under Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration and Control) Ordinance 1961 (XLVI of 1961), Government of NWFP. The initial funding for its establishment and projects has been in the form of generous donations by its Founder, Mr. Javed Saifullah Khan. Mr. Khan is a well-known business leader of Pakistan. He is the Chairman of Saif Group of Companies, a leading business and industrial conglomerate of Pakistan with significant presence in Textiles, Cement, power generation, food products, Telecom and Information Technology industries.
